LEED consulting on the contractor side for Kenbridge Construction Company. This $14M, 77,000 sf building incorporates a series of sustainable design strategies, including: water efficient landscaping that does not require permanent irrigation; ultra low-flow urinals, lowflow lavatories, and handwash fountains, which contribute to a reduction in water use of over 41 percent; a measurement and verification system to ensure heating, cooling, and electrical equipment are working efficiently; carbon dioxide monitoring, which alerts the HVAC system when occupied spaces are not receiving enough ventilation; recycled and regional materials as well as FSC certified wood; low-emitting materials; and views to the outdoors for occupants in 90 percent of regularly occupied spaces.
